Ted Hoverson
Crowned Champion
1st place goes to Ted never look back Hoverson. Ted is not only our defending Champion, but son Lance is our 97 OLM Champ. Ted had 4 wins in 2002. Ted suffered a horrible crash in primary car at Punta Gorda and went to his back up car. Ted continued to run strong and won his second Championship. See Balance of story under banquet inside.

Bobby Dayton Gets
It Done At Hialeah
Former Champ Bobby Dayton driving Dan Curlss 60 car showed the Outlaws how it was done in the old days at Hialeah Speedway Saturday night. Sitting on the pole and leading a field of 22 cars Bobby placed rabbit to the rest of th field as he ran up front all night. It sounded like days of old as Marty Little called out the leader's names as Steve Quick in Dee Powell's 1 car chased Bobby Dayton to finish secong. Ted Hoversen in the 5 car finished 3rd. Randy Sands in George Sands 8 car finished 4th. Rookie Mikeal Kohut in the #83 car finished 5th. Mixed up in ht fray until a late race spin was SC Klinger in Paul Conte's 87 car.
The Sun Shines On
Randy Sands
Randy Sands and the number 8 Pink Cadillac II won his third race of the season when the OUTLAWS made a visit to Sunshine Speedway Oct 5th. Taking the lead from Phillip Brigham driving his brother's 71 car on
Lap 8 and holding off a late race charge by Doug Hopper in the 15 car Randy Sands went on to Victory Lane. Finishing third was Bobby Dayton 60 who started scratch on the field due to his win at Hialeah Speedway the race before. Finishing fourth was Don Peacock 24 and Fifth was newcomer Billy Campbell 11.
Hoversen Wins
Outlaw Feature
Ted Hoversen of Key West driving the number 5 Outlaw Modified drove to victory Saturday night at Hialeah Speedway. Raymond "Superfrog" Jones of Arcadia driving Dave O'steens 41 finished a strong second. Starting scratch on the field Randy Sands of Islamorada driving the Storage Solutions 8 car finished third. Doug Hopper of New Port Richey in the 15 car finished 4th. Corey "The Kid" Collum of Cape Coral finished 5th.
Cars A Movin
Randy Sands has sold the 16 car to Mark Boalch who did a great job with it at the last race at Punta Gorda. Rumor has it that he has had so much fun he is thinking of buying yet another one for 2003. Rumor has ir that Melissa will be a driver next year. Mark Patten has sold the 51 car to Bill Hornack. Bill who only raced with us twice last year has taken a job up north and has sold the car to Randy Sands. Newcomer Billy Campbell's crew is looking for a second car we hear. The Beans have sold the 28 car to Carlos Puig.
