The OUTLAW MODIFIEDS have enjoyed tremendous success in the last seven years by providing the fans some of Florida's fastest and most exciting racing while providing it members a fun family atmosphere, strong organization and good competition.

Having many of our teams actually being comprised of families has been a large part of making this a reality. Many teams are the usual husband and wife teams but father and son teams, several father and daughter teams as well as brothers and cousins all make up the family of OUTLAWS. Being a traveling series also helps, as the group's success and each team individual success is based on participation. This makes everyone dependent on one another. It is not unusual to see fierce competitors on the track helping one another in the pits whether its loaning parts or exchanging set up secrets. We also provide a good environment for tomorrow's stars to begin their careers welcoming drivers age 14 on up.

Another one the key factors in the group's success is a strong and stable set of rules. The rules are designed to provide fast, safe and economical racing and have helped to provide a strong competitive environment. A good example of this is that in 2002 we had nine different winners in 14 events. Averaging car counts of 20 plus cars at every event and over 50 different drivers for the year competition was anything but easy. Our motor rules are designed for reliability and performance allowing after-market rods and pistons and porting and polishing of stock steel heads. Chassis are tubular with coil over shock suspensions, which makes car setup a prime factor in being competitive. Our tire rule is designed for economy specifying 10-inch Hoosier tires and an F-35 compound, this means that tires are not a every race night expense. Many teams need only two sets all year.
