It wasn't parts and pieces the OUTLAW'S were swapping Saturday night but the lead Saturday night at Auburndale Speedway.

Continuing to show excellent car count with 21 cars coming to do battle last years Champion Ted Hoversen of Key West in the 5 car lined up as the point man and took the green flag.

It looked like Ted Hoversen had it wrapped up with a commanding lead until a mid race caution caused the field to be bunched up for the restart.

Ted Hoversen took them to the restart but suffered mechanical failure, which allowed Raymond Superfrog Jones of Arcadia driving the 41 car to take the lead. Superfrog who started dead last had moved up through the field on the ragged outside groove.

Doug Hopper of Port Richey in the 15 car was running a very strong second when on the last lap coming out of turn four Superfrog seemed to hit the brakes when his clutch let go causing him to finish third.

Showing his best run of the season was newcomer Robert Campbell of Dunedin in the 10 car of Dr.Seigfreid Holtz.
